Hemangiomatosis of the Liver

Disorder characterised by a triad of hepatomegaly, cutaneous hemangiomas and high-output cardiac failure, the latter being considered due to unregulated shunting of blood through unduly large or numerous hepatic hemangiomas. Symptoms arise early, usually during the first weeks of life. Death may occur because of cardiac failure, haemorrhage, or, less often, portal hypertension or consumptive coagulopathy.
