Harlequin Colour Change

Reddening of the lower half of the body with simultaneous blanching of the upper half when the infant is lying on its side. The head and genitalia may be spared. Attacks may occur shortly after birth or up to 3 weeks of age with a peak frequency between the second and fifth days of life. This condition is seen in up to 10 per cent of infants.
