Infantile Digital Fibromatosis
Benign tumour of myofibroblasts containing ovoid perinuclear cytoplasmic inclusion bodies. Firm, pink or skin-coloured, asymptomatic nodules are found on one or more fingers or toes at birth, or develop at any time up to the second or third year. Spontaneous regression may occur. Recurrence often occurs after surgical excision. Contractures and deformities may follow spontaneous regression as well as surgical intervention.
