Purpura Annularis Telangiectodes Majocchi

Capillaritis of unknown aetiology occurring especially in adolescents and young adults. Lesions consist of small plaques 1 to 3 cm in diameter that are annular in configuration, often with a central clearing or atrophy. The purple, yellow or brown plaques consist of telangiectases and haemosiderin staining of the skin. They may occur at any site. Treatment is generally ineffective, and the eruption usually persists for months to years.
