Diabetic Dermopathy

Most common dermatosis associated with diabetes mellitus. Lesions begin as oval red papules and evolve into brownish red or yellow macules that may have a scaly surface. They resolve in time, leaving an atrophic brownish scar. Lesions are most commonly situated on the shins, thighs, forearms and over bony prominences.
